bump-in

the production week begins.

the moment we were in the theatre, we dismantled all the lights in the blackbox and re-rigged the lights. Each Arts Mngt student was attached to one Theatre Production Design Student. Finished rigging lights by 12.30pm and we had a long lunch break before the real work began.

See, we were supposed to connect 99 bulbs as the set design. It's not as easy as it sounds. First you have to connect the bulb connectors to the wires. so we used pliers and removed the rubber section and connected wires! for 99 x2 times cuz you havew your live and neutral wires! then secure it with PVC tapes. that took us til almost 9pm! with 1hr dinner break. thereafter, we connected the bulbs and we had to test the light bulbs ONE BY ONE! and during the testing, leticia n myself had 2 little "accidents". mine was a mini flame while sparks flew for hers.

IT WAS A CLOSE SHAVE. I could have AFRO Hair! that's why never play with electricity!

oh, and the TPD students (its super funny to watch them work) and Gen were hard at work focusing lights under the guidance of Tommy Wong.

Super tiring but i learnt so much today.

must finish focusing! scene change rehearsal on monday and then plotting & spacing with actors...

its going to be a long long week...
